If you haven't heard of James Turrell yet (which I hadn't until several months ago), check out his google images.

We're lucky enough to have two James Turrell installations in Houston, Texas and we also have a temporary exhibit at MFAH (Museum of Fine Arts) through September 22. The two permanent installations are the James Turrell Skyspace in Rice University and The Meeting House and Skyspace in the Heights. I've only been to the Rice University and MFAH exhibits, but they are truly spectacular! If you are in the neighborhood, I definitely recommend making a stop at one of these.

Here are snaps from my visit to the James Turrell Skyspace in Rice University (James Turrell actually made an appearance the night we went!).

Now I want to see all 76 of his installations across the globe. Btw, that's James Turrell in the flesh in this last shot.
